5 – Using QLview for Fibre Performing Diagnostics

1. To reset the link status list, click one of these buttons:

❑ Refresh Current Link Status. Refreshes the status of the currently

selected link.

❑ Refresh Total Link Status. Refreshes the status of all listed links.

❑ Reset Link Status. Clears the list of all links.

2. Click OK.

3. If you are resetting link status counters, click Yes in the following dialog

(see figure 5-19):

5.7.2

Performing Loopback and Read/Write Buffer Tests

The Loopback and Read/Write Buffer tests are described in section 4.9.3. To

perform the tests, follow these steps:

1. Open the Adapter’s Diagnostics and Utilities window by doing one of the

following:

❑ Right-click on a QLA2xxx adapter in the machine mapping tree on the

QLview for Fibre main window, then select Diagnostics and Utilities

from the adapter’s menu.

❑ Click on a QLA2xxx adapter in the machine mapping tree on the

QLview for Fibre main window, then click on Diagnostics and Utilities

on the right side of the main window.
